摘要：【摘 要】：特殊教育由来已久，但在特殊儿童和特殊群体的培养上，常常仅限于掌握一种技能，以维持生计。由于中国近代动乱的形势，中国的特殊教育大致可以分成两种，一种是由外国传教士创办的特殊教育机构，另一种是接受新思想的知识分子创办的特殊学校，这些都是美术、音乐、手工业的课程，这些课程都是与其他基础课程相结合的，促进意识的发展。这时，为特殊儿童实施的美术教育尚处于幼稚期，正处于由传统的技能传授到系统化的美术教育过渡的时期。
